One thing you can do is to make an earwig trap. Place shallow cans in your yard. Then fill with a half an inch of vegetable oil. This will attract the earwigs, they will crawl in and then drown. Earwigs love mulch. Try to keep mulch at least 6 inches aways from your house or business.
